Mytrex LTE: Support & Troubleshooting Guide

๐Ÿ”Œ Setting Up & Powering Your Base Station

Your Mytrex LTE base unit connects over a cellular network, meaning it does **not require a traditional landline**. It must remain plugged into a reliable power source to monitor your wearable buttons.

  • Choose a central location in your home, ideally on a sturdy table or countertop.
  • Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet that is **not** controlled by a wall switch.
  • Turn the power switch on the back of the base unit to the **ON** position.
  • The system features a built-in **backup battery** that keeps your system operational for up to 32โ€“60 hours during a power outage.

๐Ÿšจ Understanding the Status Light Indicators

The Status light on the top or front panel of your Mytrex LTE system lets you monitor your network connection and power health at a glance:

Light Pattern System Status What to Do
๐ŸŸข Solid Green Ready / Good Cellular Signal Normal operation. The system is armed and successfully connected to the LTE network.
๐ŸŸก Solid Yellow Weak Cellular Signal The system works, but moving the base station closer to a window may improve the connection.
๐Ÿ”ด Flashing Red No Cellular Connection The base station cannot find an LTE network. Move the station to a different room.
๐Ÿ”‹ Alternating Red/Green AC Power Loss / Running on Battery Check if the power cord became unplugged or if your home is experiencing a blackout.

โฑ๏ธ Running a Routine System Test

We recommend testing your base station and wearable button **once a week** to ensure complete transmission coverage.

  1. Press your wearable neck pendant, wrist button, or the large **HELP Button** on the base station.
  2. The base unit will announce: “Dialing equipment, please stand by.”
  3. Wait for the monitoring center operator to greet you over the base unit’s clear speaker.
  4. State clearly: “This is just a routine test.”
  5. The specialist will verify your signal quality and close the testing ticket.

๐Ÿ‚ Wearable Buttons: Range & Battery Life

Your Mytrex system comes with lightweight neck pendants or wristbands. These accessories never require manual charging and feature a long-lasting **5-year battery life**.

Understanding Long-Range Coverage:

The wearable buttons can communicate with the base station from up to **600 to 1,000 feet away**, depending on your home’s layout. If you press your button outside or in the yard, the base station will still receive the alert and trigger a live emergency call.

*Note: When a wearable button’s internal battery drops low, it automatically sends a silent report to the monitoring center so a replacement device can be shipped to you.*

๐Ÿ”‹ Resetting Your Unit (The Rear Switch Method)

If your system says an audio alert repeatedly or fails to connect after a power disruption, power cycling the base station can clear memory blockages.

How to safely perform a system reset:

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Reach behind the base station and locate the small toggle switch. Flip the power switch to **OFF**. Wait **30 seconds** to let the backup battery rest, then plug the unit back into the wall and flip the toggle switch back to **ON**.

๐Ÿงผ Cleaning, Maintenance & Shower Safety

Keeping your hardware free from dust protects the cellular reception and high-volume microphone sensitivity.

  • Shower Safety: The wearable pendants and wristbands are **100% waterproof**. You should wear them while bathing or showering, as slippery tile surfaces are common places for household falls.
  • Base Station Limitations: The main Mytrex LTE base console is an electronic item and is **not waterproof**. Keep it away from humid bathroom environments or kitchen sinks where liquid could splash inside.
  • Surface Cleaning: Clean the base station buttons and your wearable straps using a slightly damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid aggressive chemical sprays or solvents that could erode the plastic casing.
