🔌 Setting Up & Charging Your Device
Your Belle S features an industry-leading **45-day battery life**. When it is time to recharge, use the custom charging cradle.
- Plug the cradle power adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a light switch.
- Place the Belle S face-forward into the cradle with the lanyard at the top.
- The device will speak and state: “Charging.”
- Allow **2 to 3 hours** for a full charge.
🚨 Understanding the LED Status Light Ring
The circular LED ring wrapped around the central call button communicates live device health and connection properties:

⏱️ Running a Routine System Test
We recommend testing your medical alert system **once a week** to make sure it’s working perfectly.
- Press and hold the central circular **SOS Button** for 2 seconds.
- Listen for the voice prompt: “Call in progress.”
- When the specialist answers, clearly say: “This is just a routine test.”
- The specialist will confirm your audio is working properly and disconnect.
🍂 Fall Detection: How it Works & False Alarms
If your subscription includes automatic fall detection, your device uses advanced multi-sensor technology to detect sudden falls followed by an impact.
How to Cancel a False Alarm:
If the device drops or catches a false impact, it will announce: “A fall is detected. Calling monitoring center now.”
To cancel it, simply **press the central SOS button once within 15 seconds** to stop the dispatch process.
*Note: Always wear the Belle S around your neck with the factory lanyard at chest level to minimize false detections and maximize fall precision.
🔋 Battery Verification (The Side Button Trick)
You don’t need to guess if your battery is full. The Belle S includes a built-in verbal diagnostic assistant that provides battery status instantly without loading any slow software tools.
How to check battery level:
Briefly press the small, tactile Battery Status Button located on the right edge of the unit. The speaker will immediately broadcast a clear audio confirmation reading either “Battery OK” or “Battery Low, please charge.”
🧼 Cleaning, Maintenance & Shower Safety
Keeping your device clean ensures optimal sound quality and reliable connectivity.
- Shower Safety: The Belle S is water-resistant (IP67 certified). It is perfectly safe to wear in the shower or bath, which is where many falls happen. However, it should not be fully submerged under water for extended periods.
- Cleaning Gold Pins: Every week, wipe down the tiny gold charging contacts on the back of the device with a soft dry cloth. Dust or body oils can collect on them and prevent the cradle from charging properly.
- Speaker Guard: Gently dust the speaker holes to remove lint. Lint buildup can muffle the care specialist’s voice during an active call.
