Setting Up & Charging Your Device

Your Belle S features a stated 45-day battery life. When it is time to recharge, use the custom charging cradle.

  1. Plug the cradle power adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a light switch.
  2. Place the Belle S face-forward into the cradle with the lanyard at the top.
  3. The device will speak and state: “Charging.”
  4. Allow 2 to 3 hours for a full charge.

Confirm battery-life and charging-time specifications against your Belle S manual before publishing.

Running a Routine System Test

We recommend testing your medical alert system once a week to make sure it is working properly.

  1. Press and hold the central circular SOS Button for 2 seconds.
  2. Listen for the voice prompt: “Call in progress.”
  3. When the specialist answers, clearly say: “This is just a routine test.”
  4. The specialist will confirm your audio is working properly and disconnect.

Follow any additional testing instructions supplied by HelpLine.

Fall Detection: How It Works & False Alarms

Your original guide describes automatic fall detection for subscriptions that include the feature. Confirm whether your specific Belle S device and service plan support automatic fall detection.

Important — cancellation instructions need verification.

The original guide specifies pressing the SOS button within 15 seconds to cancel a false alarm. Do not rely on that procedure until HelpLine confirms it for this exact model and configuration.

If an alarm reaches a monitoring specialist, tell them clearly whether you need help. If you have fallen and need assistance, stay connected.

Wear the device according to the instructions supplied with your unit.

5Battery Verification (The Side Button Trick)A quick and easy way to check your battery status.Illustration for Battery Verification (The Side Button Trick)

Battery Verification (The Side Button Trick)

Your existing guide describes a built-in verbal battery-status feature.

How to check battery level:

Briefly press the small Battery Status Button described in your guide as being on the right edge of the unit. The guide states that the speaker announces “Battery OK” or “Battery Low, please charge.”

Confirm the button location and exact spoken messages on your Belle S model before publishing.

6Cleaning, Maintenance & Shower SafetyKeep your Belle S clean and learn about safe everyday care.Illustration for Cleaning, Maintenance & Shower Safety

Cleaning, Maintenance & Shower Safety

Keeping your device clean helps maintain sound quality and reliable charging.

  • Shower Safety: Your original guide states that the Belle S is water-resistant (IP67) and can be worn in the shower or bath, but should not be submerged for extended periods. Verify the exact water-exposure limits in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Cleaning Gold Pins: Every week, wipe the charging contacts on the back of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Dust or body oils can interfere with charging.
  • Speaker Guard: Gently remove lint from speaker openings without inserting anything into the holes.
