1Setting Up Your Mytrex LTEConnect the base station to power and confirm cellular service.

Setting Up Your Mytrex LTE

  1. Place the base unit on a stable surface where it can remain connected to electrical power.
  2. Connect the supplied power adapter to the base unit and a working electrical outlet.
  3. Keep the base unit away from water and avoid covering it with other objects.
  4. Follow the setup and activation instructions provided by HelpLine. Do not assume the unit is ready until service has been confirmed.
Mytrex LTE uses a cellular connection; it does not require a household landline. If you are unsure whether it is activated, contact HelpLine before relying on it.
2Understanding the Status LightsKnow what to do when the unit displays an unfamiliar light.

Understanding the Status Lights

Indicator lights can help identify the unit’s operating condition, but their exact meanings depend on the specific Mytrex LTE model and configuration.

  1. Check whether the base is connected to power.
  2. Note which indicator is illuminated or flashing, and its color.
  3. If a light looks unusual or the unit announces a problem, contact HelpLine and describe exactly what you see or hear.
The illustration is not a verified diagram of your unit’s indicators. Do not interpret the illustrated colors as official status codes.
3Making an Emergency or Test CallLearn how to request help and arrange a routine test.

Making an Emergency or Test Call

In an emergency: Press your medical alert button to request help, then follow the monitoring operator’s instructions. If you can speak, explain your situation.

For a routine test: Contact HelpLine first to confirm the appropriate testing procedure for your system. Tell the monitoring operator that you are conducting a test.

If you accidentally activate an alarm, remain available to speak with the operator and explain that it was accidental. Do not unplug the base to cancel an alarm.
4Testing Your Pendant or Wristband RangeCheck coverage in the places you normally use your wearable.

Testing Your Pendant or Wristband Range

Your wearable transmitter communicates with the base unit. Its effective range can vary with your home’s construction and surroundings.

  1. Arrange a test with HelpLine or the monitoring center.
  2. Begin near the base unit and follow the operator’s directions.
  3. Test the locations where you normally spend time, including appropriate outdoor areas around your home.
  4. If an area does not work reliably, let HelpLine know so the setup can be reviewed.
Do not assume the wearable works everywhere or away from the base unit simply because the base itself uses cellular service.
5Fall Detection and Accidental AlarmsUnderstand optional fall detection and accidental alerts.

Fall Detection and Accidental Alarms

Automatic fall detection is available only if your specific wearable transmitter and service configuration support it.

  • Ask HelpLine whether fall detection is included with your system.
  • Even when fall detection is enabled, not every fall will be detected. Press your help button whenever you need assistance and are able to do so.
  • If an alert activates accidentally, tell the monitoring operator you are safe.
Never deliberately fall to test fall detection.
6Cellular Signal, Power & TroubleshootingWhat to check if the system reports a connection or power issue.

Cellular Signal, Power & Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure the supplied power adapter is firmly connected and the outlet is working.
  2. If the system reports a cellular connection problem, contact HelpLine for assistance with checking its location and service status.
  3. Do not open the base unit, remove internal components, or change SIM-related settings.
  4. Report any recurring warning tones, unexpected indicator behavior, or unsuccessful test calls to HelpLine promptly.
If you believe the medical alert system is not working, do not rely on it until HelpLine confirms operation. For an immediate emergency, use another available way to call 911.
